Forest investments provide reliable growth
From 1993 to 2017, the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) Timberland Index in USA has yielded returns comparable to the S&P 500 index with much lower volatility*. As an asset class, forestry investments are considered less volatile and lowly correlated to other popular asset classes such as equities and bonds.
Traditionally, timberland investments have provided stable and predictable long term growth along with a positive impact on the climate. By issuing EKO tokens, Ekofolio enables ordinary investors to benefit from this unique asset class and create impact, whilst lowering transaction costs and creating liquidity.
